Emily Miller is a Food Project Fellow with Public Justice in Oakland, California, where she works to advance environmental and labor justice within the industrial animal agriculture system. During law school, she clerked for Center for Food Safety and Food & Water Watch, supporting litigation efforts to combat the polluting and exploitative practices of corporate agriculture. She also led Students for Economic and Environmental Justice, participated in the Policy Advocacy Clinic, and researched legislative and regulatory schemes to promote regenerative agriculture as a solution to climate change. Before law school, Emily worked to improve the quality of and access to school food for low-income families. She earned her B.A. in English from University of Pennsylvania and her J.D. from University of California, Berkeley School of Law.
